An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 10th minute of play forced Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Gu Zhan Wei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walmir Pombal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Gu Zhan Wei skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a little luck, Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei got control of the ball when Walmir Pombal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Academia Santista CIMZ's goalkeeper Gu Zhan Wei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walmir Pombal. Gu Zhan Wei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Academia Santista CIMZ's Aaron Frans got a free kick in the 27th minute. Gu Zhan Wei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walmir Pombal in the 33rd minute of play. Paulo Gaizkine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Aurken in the 35th minute of play. After 36 minutes Catugi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ruy Motta who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Jeremias Aurken got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paulo Gaizkine quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 41 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremias Aurken came free, but Paulo Gaizkine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Academia Santista CIMZ's zone, Carlos Alberto Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gu Zhan Wei came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Academia Santista CIMZ's Aaron Frans got a free kick in the 46th minute. After having played for 47 minutes, Carlos Alberto Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Catugi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Alberto Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The wind increased when Jeremias Aurken made the kick off in the second half. Dé Fontes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With 55 minutes on the clock, Christian Paulista commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Walmir Pombal struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Gu Zhan Wei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Catugi FC. When Walmir Pombal came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Catugi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Walmir Pombal couldn't finish the play. Aaron Frans charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aaron Frans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 72nd match minute, Academia Santista CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Frans to maneuver through the defense. In the 73rd minute of the match Miguel Pimenta sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gu Zhan Wei skillfully saved the ball. Carlos Alberto Soares scored 3-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gu Zhan Wei, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 77th minute Carlos Alberto Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gu Zhan Wei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Academia Santista CIMZ booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Pimenta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Academia Santista CIMZ's Gu Zhan Wei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Alberto Soares in the 94th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Aaron Frans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
