The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes A.A. Francana got a freekick which was hit by Erik Souza. After having played for 5 minutes, Vítor Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granadero10's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tana Rede in the 12th minute of play forced A.A. Francana's goalkeeper Renan Melo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardo Bettencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfredinho Cavalcante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, Durval Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Granadero10's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A.A. Francana the free kick. In the 18th match minute, Granadero10 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Durval Mendes to maneuver through the defense. When Tana Rede came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Granadero10 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tana Rede couldn't finish the play. 26 minutes into the match, Aykut Canel notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Granadero10's Alfredinho Cavalcante. Alfredinho Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 32nd minute Beniamin Madajczyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renan Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Granadero10 booed when A.A. Francana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erik Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Renan Melo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tana Rede in the 34th minute of play. Alfredinho Cavalcante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Bettencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A collision led to A.A. Francana getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Francisco Secco hit a great ball. A.A. Francana's Renan Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beniamin Madajczyk in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Antunes came free, but Renan Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Renan Melo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tana Rede in the 44th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Beniamin Madajczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Granadero10's supporters rose to their feet, but Beniamin Madajczyk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Renan Melo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
In the 52ndth minute of the game Charlie Boström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Granadero10's Alfredinho Cavalcante was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 59 minutes, Beniamin Madajczyk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granadero10's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beniamin Madajczyk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tana Rede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renan Melo having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, A.A. Francana's goal looked a bit too open when Tana Rede came free, but Renan Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Beniamin Madajczyk got free with Renan Melo in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tana Redes short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Renan Melo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Renan Melo made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Beniamin Madajczyk sent off a good shot on target. Vítor Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Renan Melo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Granadero10's Rubens Favoretto was substituted for Vítor Antunes. Granadero10's Alfredinho Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aykut Canel in the 74th minute of play. Rubens Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Granadero10's Cleto Ioritz was substituted for Beniamin Madajczyk. In the 82nd minute, Charlie Boström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredinho Cavalcante was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 86th minute, Tana Rede made a precise shot to the right of Renan Melo. A.A. Francana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. A.A. Francana's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Cleto Ioritz scored to the left of an out of position Renan Melo, making the score, 2-2. In the 94th minute of the match, Cleto Ioritz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Renan Melo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 95th minute of the match Granadero10 got a corner. A.A. Francana's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tana Rede ran over to the corner to take the kick. 97 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when Charlie Boström came free, but Alfredinho Cavalcante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
