Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 14th minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Tony Guimarães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hegedus Henrik fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tony Guimarães having to interfere. C. A. Atlanta's Tony Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 24th minute of play. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. C. A. After 35 minutes Hungary's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Teodoro Primo who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Hungary's goalie and right to Everardo Rio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Hungary's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to C. A. Atlanta getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Eliseo Sasoin hit a great ball. C. A. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Tony Guimarães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

If Balazs Lajos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C. A. Atlanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Major Barna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Primo in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Major Barna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tony Guimarães. The goal made the score 1-3. Hungary played a much better game than C. A. Atlanta and deserved their victory. The C. A. Atlanta players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
