Andrzej Zapolski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudinei Velloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maximiliano Vime got free with Claudinei Velloso in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 47 minutes ACF Fiorentina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luiz Fabiano Castro who took care of the corner kick. DREAM TEAM WORLD were awarded a corner in the 49th minute after ACF Fiorentina's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Luiz Fabiano Castro took the corner.

A collision led to DREAM TEAM WORLD getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Héctor Adomaitis hit a great ball. Lu Zhen Sheng didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when ACF Fiorentina's Ariel Jesus shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Claudinei Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrzej Zapolski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Claudinei Velloso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lu Zhen Sheng made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Maximino Cabezon sent off a good shot on target. 80 minutes into the match, DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maximino Cabezon. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Cabezon in the 89th minute of play forced DREAM TEAM WORLD's goalkeeper Lu Zhen Sheng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hu Xi made in the 91st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Anselmo Luar. Maximino Cabezon might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lu Zhen Sheng. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximino Cabezon ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, DREAM TEAM WORLD's Lu Zhen Sheng got control of the ball when Maximino Cabezon tried to sneak it across the goal line.

ACF Fiorentina's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
