An unexpectedly hard shot by Baltasar Osorio in the 10th minute of play forced Club Atlético Atlanta's goalkeeper Carlos Germano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Berdoi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Herminio Guillelme made a huge save. 47 minutes into the game, Copérnico F.C.'s Paulino Ledesma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Germano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Berdoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustaquio Jaizki in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Guillelme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 56 played minutes Club Atlético Atlanta got a freekick which was hit by Paolo Caradaro. Club Atlético Atlanta were awarded a corner in the 61th minute after Copérnico F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcos Berdoi took the corner. After taking down the ball on Club Atlético Atlanta's corner Abel Iban fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Herminio Guillelme quite easily take care of the ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Copérnico F.C. the free kick. Copérnico F.C. made a substitution. Simon Quintan replaced Paulino Ledesma. A collision led to Club Atlético Atlanta getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Rosendo Cutberto hit a great ball. Club Atlético Atlanta's Marcos Berdoi got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rosendo Cutberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Herminio Guillelme read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcos Berdoi in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Herminio Guillelme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Club Atlético Atlanta fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Copérnico F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
