Enzo Balesio's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonatan Vennerkvist was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Denmark's Keld Paulsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Denmark from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute, Temperley's Gilberto Illart ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Keld Paulsen. Keld Paulsen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The Temperley fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Denmark were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
