Alfredo Aguilar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 2nd minute of play. 4 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Alfredo Aguilar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Alfredo Aguilar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 26 minutes, Roque Gora managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Olimpia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roque Gora was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Takacs Tibor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Alfredo Aguilar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Roque Gora stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Roque Gora tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Szekeres Tamas charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Szekeres Tamas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Szekeres Tamas hit a great ball. Denis Inestrosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roque Gora in the 44th minute of play. Nelson Haedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nelson Haedo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denis Inestrosa made a great header on Club Olimpia's corner, it was just that Hungary's Fodor Daniel managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Haedo in the 75th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Gora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the match, Club Olimpia's Edmund Lidberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Valentin in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alfredo Aguilar saved Club Olimpia from getting behind. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Hegedus Henrik hit a great ball. Club Olimpia's Denis Inestrosa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 90th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Hungary. Balazs Lajos kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Nelson Haedo made a precise shot to the right of Fodor Daniel. Hungary's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. The Club Olimpia support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
