Serbia's Borjan Golubovic quite brazenly broke a throw-in by João Paulo Amaral, made in the 3rd minute of the game. With a little luck, Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic got control of the ball when Carlos Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Serbia's zone, João Paulo Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out of the goal and João Paulo Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The throw-in from André Luiz Proença in the 27th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Serbia's Borjan Golubovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Batista in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute, Natã Rossi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Mathias Gaúcho fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Floripa Lions FSCMZ's protests and gave Mathias Gaúcho a yellow card for diving instead. Mathias Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Serbia's Cvijetin Nanusevski got a free kick in the 44th minute. With a little luck, Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic got control of the ball when Carlos Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Quintal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sreten Popovic stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Quintal in the 53rd minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonas Arantes charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jonas Arantes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Jonas Arantes got a free kick in the 59th minute. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Quintal in the 61st minute of the match. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Batista in the 64th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Serbia's Sreten Popovic slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sidnei Hermes. That made the score 0-1 after 70 minutes of play. Carlos Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Floripa Lions FSCMZ's Jonas Arantes. But to his dismay, Jonas Arantes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Arantes in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Carlos Quintal made a precise shot to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Quintal in the 89th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Gaúcho came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Arantes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Serbia's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Quintal came free, but Zvezdan Nedeljkovic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 97th minute, Jonas Arantes made a precise shot to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Serbia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. There was no doubt that Floripa Lions FSCMZ were the better team. Floripa Lions FSCMZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
