Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amadeu Matos in the 9th minute. The supporters of H2A BOLICHE booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustaaf Groeneveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timoteo Martino in the 16th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timoteo Martino in the 20th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fernando Prasse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Fernando Prasse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 23rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the H2A BOLICHE defense, Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Prasse. The H2A BOLICHE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Prasse should have stopped the shot. Fernando Prasse took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fernando Prasse made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. 33 minutes into the match, Hermínio de Lima sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Arnout Reekers threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Hermínio de Lima this time. 35 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amadeu Matos. Fernando Prasse came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amadeu Matos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Fernando Prasse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Fernando Prasse successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in H2A BOLICHE's zone, Lars Meesters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernando Prasse came out of the goal and Lars Meesters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Martino, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu Matos in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernando Prasse breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than H2A BOLICHE throughout the match.
