The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ambrosio Jaunti. Aztore Sagaseta hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Paulo Laurentzi struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Zacarias Chus didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Criciúma Esporte Clube. The Criciúma Esporte Clube fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Criciúma Esporte Clube's Paulo Laurentzi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Zacarias Chus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulo Laurentzi's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute of the match Criciúma Esporte Clube got a corner. Victor F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Mehmet Emin Kamer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Mehmet Emin Kamer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zacarias Chus quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Laurentzi in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarias Chus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo Laurentzi in the 32nd minute of play forced Victor F.C.'s goalkeeper Zacarias Chus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 34th minute of the match Criciúma Esporte Clube got a corner. Victor F.C.'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. After taking down the ball on Criciúma Esporte Clube's corner Mehmet Emin Kamer fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zacarias Chus quite easily take care of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Ambrosio Jaunti dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evelio Antoniano, 1-1. If Paulo Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Laurentzi in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarias Chus prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zacarias Chus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo Laurentzi in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Victor F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Aztore Sagaseta. In the 46th minute, Gaztea Regalado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Laurentzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Bieito Villaurreta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zacarias Chus. Victor F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bieito Villaurreta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Through an outstanding action, after 64 minutes, Zacarias Chus successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Victor F.C.'s Zacarias Chus got control of the ball when Paulo Laurentzi tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Paulo Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Laurentzi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Zacarias Chus made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iván De la Peña in the 75th minute of play forced Criciúma Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Evelio Antoniano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, Guillermo Barros Schelotto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zacarias Chus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Laurentzi in the 79th minute of the match. Zacarias Chus stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bieito Villaurreta's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Bieito Villaurreta sped through Victor F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zacarias Chus. In the 85thth minute of the game Paulo Laurentzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Victor F.C.'s Zacarias Chus was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Maximo Arce fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Victor F.C.'s protests and gave Maximo Arce a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th match minute, Victor F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Arce to maneuver through the defense. Zacarias Chus was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Gaztea Regalado. Paulo Laurentzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Zacarias Chus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zacarias Chus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bieito Villaurreta, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Criciúma Esporte Clube's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
