Teobaldo Ubarna ran back to his position shaking his head. Andres Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Wyciszkiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. But to his dismay, Tao Ke Qiang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 24th minute of the game Graham Ashton made a throw-in which Carolo Rio played forward. El Renacer del Quijano FC's Andres Lastur played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tao Ke Qiang in the 26th minute of play. Dante Erramu came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by El Renacer del Quijano FC's Teobaldo Ubarna. But to his dismay, Teobaldo Ubarna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Andres Lastur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tao Ke Qiang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Teobaldo Ubarna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Leandro Laurentzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Renacer del Quijano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leandro Laurentzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Erramu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 38 played minutes El Renacer del Quijano FC got a freekick which was hit by Koit Einasto. Dante Erramu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Ubarna, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Teobaldo Ubarna made a kick off. The supporters of Defensores de Belén booed when El Renacer del Quijano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Laurentzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Defensores de Belén would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
