A collision led to Criciúma Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Bieito Villaurreta hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaztea Regalado to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Wrexham's Prudencio Ixidor got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 55th minute, Gaztea Regalado made a precise shot to the right of Lorenz Ureta. Wrexham's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Sten Kvick succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-4 in the 57th playminute. The audience was convinced that Dimitri Payet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evelio Antoniano was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Gaztea Regalado managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Wrexham players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
