Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tonko Urban in the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute of the match Lipovljani got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tonko Urban ran over to the corner to take the kick. Domagoj Grković blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Vittori having to make a save. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Italy's Flavio Vittori got control of the ball when Domagoj Grković tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Domagoj Grković kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavio Vittori. That made the score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Siricio Liotta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jânio Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 35th minute of play. A collision led to Lipovljani getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Rio Mata hit a great ball. Jânio Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 39th minute of the match. 41 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jânio Branco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Italy were awarded a corner in the 43th minute after Lipovljani's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. Eliseo Cutri hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After 45 played minutes Lipovljani got a freekick which was hit by Tonko Urban. Jânio Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 46th minute of play. Lipovljani's Jânio Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zaccheo Andolina was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lovro Majer during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Italy booed when Lipovljani was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lovro Majer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jânio Branco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zaccheo Andolina's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the match, Lipovljani's goalkeeper Jânio Branco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Siricio Liotta. Italy were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Lipovljani's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sigfrido Auletta took the corner. Jânio Branco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 64th minute. 67 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jânio Branco. Zaccheo Andolina showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 79th minute, Zaccheo Andolina left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Italy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 87th minute of play forced Lipovljani's goalkeeper Jânio Branco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
