Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Petter Fernström started the match with the kick off. Ngũgĩ wa Nyamau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Skark's late challenge caught a Clitheroe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Skark helped the player get up and apologised. In the 9th match minute, Worst Team Ever was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robert Skark to maneuver through the defense. After 19 minutes, Saleh Musyoka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clitheroe and the Worst Team Ever players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th match minute, Clitheroe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saleh Musyoka to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Clitheroe getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Charles Ondieki hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stephen Ouko in the 24th minute of play forced Worst Team Ever's goalkeeper John Elg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Stephen Ouko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clitheroe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Clitheroe's zone, Yngve Dalberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Mudavadi came out of the goal and Yngve Dalberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Robert Skark fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Mudavadi having to interfere. If Jan-Åke Högman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute Jan-Åke Högman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Mudavadi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yngve Dalberg in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck John Mudavadi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yngve Dalberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Mudavadi having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Stephen Ouko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan-Åke Högman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Mudavadi having to interfere. When Stephen Ouko came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Clitheroe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stephen Ouko couldn't finish the play. Stephen Ouko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. John Elg came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Clitheroe's Mohammed Odeke. But to his dismay, Mohammed Odeke quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 72 played minutes Worst Team Ever got a freekick which was hit by Per Sjöö. Jan-Åke Högman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Mudavadi having to interfere. Jan-Åke Högman took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised John Mudavadi. John Mudavadi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Clitheroe walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
