Severo Pantoja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilmar Rosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilmar Rosa got free with Severo Pantoja in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gilmar Rosa's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Severo Pantoja skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilmar Rosa was the one to do the kick off. After 50 minutes of play, Paysandu's Bruno Gerber made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Severo Pantoja was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilmar Rosa in the 53rd minute of play forced White Bats's goalkeeper Severo Pantoja to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dinei Britto made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Costante Moreno sent off a good shot on target. Costante Moreno spun around in front of the goal 63 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Paysandu's goal. Gilmar Rosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Severo Pantoja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gilmar Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. Gilmar Rosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Severo Pantoja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. If Bruno Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Karlo Solera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinei Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paysandu's Gilmar Rosa got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilmar Rosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Costante Moreno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Gerber struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Severo Pantoja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paysandu. If Gilmar Rosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gilmar Rosa took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severo Pantoja. Severo Pantoja dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 95th minute, Bruno Gerber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paysandu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. White Bats's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
