After 3 minutes of play, Paysandu's Gilmar Rosa made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mustafa Barış Ruhsat was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bruno Gerber kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Selim Hızarcı's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dinei Britto was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. In the 10th match minute, Paysandu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Messias to maneuver through the defense. After 15 played minutes Paysandu got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Rosa. Dinei Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Selim Hızarcı in the 16th minute of the match. After having played for 18 minutes, Bruno Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paysandu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Tróia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Paysandu's Gilmar Rosa in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Celebi's goalie prevented a goal. Selim Hızarcı charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Selim Hızarcı the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gilberto Tróia's late challenge caught a Celebi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilberto Tróia helped the player get up and apologised. Gilberto Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Gerber in the 54th minute of play forced Celebi's goalkeeper Mustafa Barış Ruhsat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes Paysandu got a freekick which was hit by Gilmar Rosa. After having played for 66 minutes, Selim Hızarcı managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celebi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Selim Hızarcı was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Gerber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Zülfü Ünsever charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zülfü Ünsever the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Celebi getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Zülfü Ünsever hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the game, Paysandu's Bruno Gerber nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mustafa Barış Ruhsat made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilmar Rosa in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mustafa Barış Ruhsat saved Celebi from getting behind. Bruno Gerber struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Mustafa Barış Ruhsat didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paysandu. After a rather tough play, Paysandu's Gilberto Tróia got a free kick in the 77th minute. Dinei Britto made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Selim Hızarcı sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Boran Baykutay in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dinei Britto saved Paysandu from getting behind. 90 minutes into the match, Celebi's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Rosa came free, but Mustafa Barış Ruhsat reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Selim Hızarcı could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Dinei Britto made a huge save. Selim Hızarcıs short, quick shot in the 94thth minute got Dinei Britto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Paysandu's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
