The coaching staff of RKO AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Roldán Navia had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 16th minute, one of RKO AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for RKO AFC. The referee gave Celta de Virgos a penalty, 19 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Angelo Enekoitz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of RKO AFC's Poulus Farias. 0-2. After some careless play in the RKO AFC defense, Damaso Marcones kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Poulus Farias. The RKO AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Poulus Farias should have stopped the shot. 30 minutes into the match, RKO AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Damaso Marcones came free, but Poulus Farias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Berbiz in the 36th minute of play forced RKO AFC's goalkeeper Poulus Farias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RKO AFC's Poulus Farias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Virila in the 38th minute of play. Amancio Victoro struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Poulus Farias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celta de Virgos. Poulus Farias came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Celta de Virgos's Angelo Berbiz. But to his dismay, Angelo Berbiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Berbiz got free with Poulus Farias in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Poulus Farias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damaso Marcones, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. 68 minutes into the match, RKO AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Berbiz came free, but Poulus Farias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Celta de Virgos's Bernabe Estavan got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Rafael Virila succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 77th playminute. When Celta de Virgos's Damaso Marcones in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Poulus Farias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelo Berbiz got free with Poulus Farias in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 94 minutes into the game, Adrian Toribio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Poulus Farias. Adrian Toribio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-10. Angelo Berbiz in the 98thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Poulus Farias, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Celta de Virgos played a much better game than RKO AFC and deserved their victory. The RKO AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
