In the 15th minute Horacio Lanchares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Raulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonel Montt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedicto Gombal in the 18th minute of the match. Ballet Azul's Leonel Montt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Errapel in the 19th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Plumerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Lanchares came free, but Paulo Raulo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that David Errapel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leonel Montt was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. 25 minutes into the match, Ballet Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Apolo Lorencio came free, but Leonel Montt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ysidro Briones scored 2-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Raulo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Leonel Montt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Apolo Lorencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Plumerillo's Paulo Raulo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horacio Lanchares in the 43rd minute of play. After 44 played minutes Plumerillo got a freekick which was hit by David Errapel.

When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Ysidro Briones put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Paulo Raulo. After 75 minutes, Reynaldo Farren mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ballet Azul and the Plumerillo players grew even worse after the yellow card.
