Victorino Kelemen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Xie Shu Tian's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorino Kelemen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mazaredo AFC's zone, Xie Shu Tian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Kelemen came out of the goal and Xie Shu Tian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Xie Shu Tian had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Kelemen. Mazaredo AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xie Shu Tian was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 19 minutes into the match, Mazaredo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Xie Shu Tian came free, but Victorino Kelemen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo Sustrai hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mazaredo AFC booed when Pecém was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicuşor Nebunu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Pecém's goal looked a bit too open when Herman Bergström came free, but Denílson Leão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victorino Kelemen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ibon Obeso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Xie Shu Tian got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Victorino Kelemen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. With a little luck, Pecém's Denílson Leão got control of the ball when Ryszard Cytrynski tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Herman Bergström during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Herman Bergström hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Pecém's Denílson Leão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Pecém from getting a goal against them. Xie Shu Tian received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Victorino Kelemen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Xie Shu Tian to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Leopoldo Sustrai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mazaredo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pecém the free kick. Leopoldo Sustrai hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. 58 minutes into the match, Mazaredo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Xie Shu Tian came free, but Victorino Kelemen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xie Shu Tian in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorino Kelemen saved Mazaredo AFC from getting behind. Victorino Kelemen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xie Shu Tian's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mazaredo AFC's zone, Xie Shu Tian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorino Kelemen came out of the goal and Xie Shu Tian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Denílson Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herman Bergström in the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th minute Xie Shu Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Kelemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 75 minutes, Filiberto Alfonso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mazaredo AFC and the Pecém players grew even worse after the yellow card. Filiberto Alfonso kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Mazaredo AFC's Lucas Gaur was substituted for Herman Bergström. In the 76th match minute, Mazaredo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filiberto Alfonso to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the game, Roberto Arantes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victorino Kelemen. Roberto Arantes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 83rdth minute of the game Xie Shu Tian who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mazaredo AFC's Victorino Kelemen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucas Gaur in the 84th minute of play forced Pecém's goalkeeper Denílson Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute Lucas Gaur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denílson Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Pecém's Xie Shu Tian ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Victorino Kelemen. Victorino Kelemen yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4.
