In the 41st minute, one of Estación Q.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Estación Q.. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Ñacuñán AC's Cristobal Ralondo was substituted for Jose Hernando. Estación Q.'s Paulinho Gonçalves was substituted for Tadeo Lesardo. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elpidio Ekain to make the kick off.
