Czech Republic's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Abel Jara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 14 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Orozco. After 22 minutes, Julio Oses mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Barcelona FC and the Czech Republic players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Barcelona FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Oses to maneuver through the defense. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Jara in the 24th minute of the match. Eloi House kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. If Gerardo Sanchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Barcelona FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Stratos Chatzigiannis hit a great ball. Erik Jilek, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Czech Republic booed when Barcelona FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgilio Rojas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alan Rezek in the 54th minute. Vavrinec Holub stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Orozco's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Gerardo Sanchez might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vavrinec Holub. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gerardo Sanchez ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antonio Orozco in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vavrinec Holub saved Czech Republic from getting behind. The corner led Barcelona FC's Eloi House to fire away a dangerous shot which Vavrinec Holub despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Barcelona FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Nacho Talamanca hit a great ball. In the 72nd minute, Antonio Orozco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vavrinec Holub was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 75 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goal looked a bit too open when Antonio Orozco came free, but Vavrinec Holub reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Camillo Consalvi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcelona FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Czech Republic the free kick. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Orozco, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Vavrinec Holub stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Orozco's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Orozco in the 94th minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barcelona FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
