France's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Clinton Werfel scored to the left of an out of position Maxime Durand, making the score, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pat Eggers got free with Maxime Durand in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Robert Chapuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. France's Maxime Durand couldn't get a good grip on the ball when Jacques La Rosa shot the distance nicking the right pole and went into goal in the 11th minute, 2-0. After having played for 13 minutes, Pat Eggers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Liver Bird's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pat Eggers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Pat Eggers's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maxime Durand was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitris Rapsopodis in the 80th minute of play. In the 85thth minute of the game Dimitris Rapsopodis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Liver Bird's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
