Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aybar Yalınalp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Chia Cami getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Teodosio Evangelista hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Libertad in the 10th minute of play. Alberto Libertad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th match minute, Chia Cami was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Formerio to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Chia Cami's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aybar Yalınalp came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Libertad in the 31st minute of the match. Hilario Blasco's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hilario Blasco helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Germany booed when Chia Cami was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Blasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aybar Yalınalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 34th minute of play. After 35 minutes, Adrian Dreifuss mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Germany and the Chia Cami players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Maldonado. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Sixto Gaitan tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute, Frank Sachs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Libertad stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Chia Cami's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Aybar Yalınalp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodosio Evangelista kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sixto Gaitan scored 1-1 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The throw-in from Teodosio Evangelista in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Germany's Adrian Dreifuss. In the 69th minute, Adrian Dreifuss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aybar Yalınalp having to interfere. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aybar Yalınalp having to make a save. Frank Sachs who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Aybar Yalınalp when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Leo Formerio made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sixto Gaitan. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
