An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Cerqueira in the 3rd minute of play forced AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s goalkeeper José Maria Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Gonçalo Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Maria Loureiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aristides Brochado fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garanhão do SUL's protests and gave Aristides Brochado a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Garanhão do SUL's Aristides Brochado got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 14 played minutes AF GuiFiguer OUT!! got a freekick which was hit by Kaká Cardozo. 18 minutes into the match, AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Patrício Poças came free, but José Maria Loureiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, Dida França was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AF GuiFiguer OUT!!'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Garanhão do SUL the free kick. The supporters of Garanhão do SUL booed when AF GuiFiguer OUT!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dida França didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torcato Bentes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Maria Loureiro came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Garanhão do SUL's Aristides Brochado. But to his dismay, Aristides Brochado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Zé Abraão hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. José Maria Loureiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Lobo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dorian Terra to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Lobo to maneuver through the defense. Torcato Bentes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorian Terra in the 56th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Dadá Maravilha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torcato Bentes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Aristides Brochado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 62 minutes had been played. Aristides Brochado hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The supporters of AF GuiFiguer OUT!! booed when Garanhão do SUL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Curado didn't get a good kick on the ball. The AF GuiFiguer OUT!! manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Garanhão do SUL to win.
