In the 3rd minute, Filinto Coelho sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Arribeños AFC's Justo Policarpio didn't even have to move. When Garanhão do SUL's Gonçalo Lobo in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arribeños AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Domingo Rufio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Torcato Bentes. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. In the 25th match minute, Arribeños AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Pabla to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Cerqueira in the 30th minute of play forced Arribeños AFC's goalkeeper Justo Policarpio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Justo Policarpio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patrício Poças, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute Gonçalo Lobo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Policarpio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Esdras got free with Torcato Bentes in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Torcato Bentes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Rufio, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 47 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's Filinto Coelho broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

Catarino Correia hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. In the 54th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Correia to maneuver through the defense. After 55 played minutes Arribeños AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Mikeldi. In the 62nd play minute Patrício Poças came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Justo Policarpio. 1-1. Garanhão do SUL's Torcato Bentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Pacifico in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Cornelio Elixio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justo Policarpio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonçalo Lobo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Domingo Rufio put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Torcato Bentes. After 75 minutes, Patrício Poças mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garanhão do SUL and the Arribeños AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Garanhão do SUL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrício Poças to maneuver through the defense. Arribeños AFC's Justo Policarpio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Lobo in the 82nd minute of play. Justo Policarpio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrício Poças in the 95th minute. Patrício Poças's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Justo Policarpio firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arribeños AFC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
