If Emil Almkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Batiste Talon fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Le Stade Briochin UC's protests and gave Batiste Talon a yellow card for diving instead. Batiste Talon kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th match minute, Le Stade Briochin UC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mario Rabaud to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Le Stade Briochin UC's zone, Emil Almkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustin Payan came out of the goal and Emil Almkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Le Stade Briochin UC's Freddy Blond got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emil Almkvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Faustin Payan made a huge save. Le Stade Briochin UC were furious when Batiste Talon was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Le Stade Briochin UC:s Faustin Payan showed great skill when he stopped Emil Almkvist:s penalty. In the 23rd minute, Eric Lindblom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Herbert Dugas notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Meadow Village's Henry Vall. Henry Vall was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Herbert Dugas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Vall having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Meadow Village's goal looked a bit too open when Herbert Dugas came free, but Henry Vall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faustin Payan came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Meadow Village's Emil Almkvist. But to his dismay, Emil Almkvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With an all-out effort, Meadow Village's Faustin Payan threw himself towards the right post 41 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eric Lindblom, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Almkvist to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Kenny Axelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilfried Pinson shot from long distance in the 52nd minute, but Henry Vall was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Wilfried Pinson charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilfried Pinson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 56 played minutes Le Stade Briochin UC got a freekick which was hit by Wilfried Pinson. The supporters of Meadow Village booed when Le Stade Briochin UC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abraham Hudry didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Le Stade Briochin UC's zone, Emil Almkvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Faustin Payan came out of the goal and Emil Almkvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mario Rabaud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Vall having to interfere. Faustin Payan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Lindblom, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. After 86 minutes of play, Meadow Village's Emil Almkvist made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Faustin Payan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Le Stade Briochin UC's Faustin Payan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emil Almkvist in the 94th minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Wilfried Pinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Le Stade Briochin UC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilfried Pinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee ended the match the Meadow Village players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
