Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gonçalo Lobo started the match with the kick off. Georges Ravat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Joel Maciel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilfried Pinson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Joel Maciel made a huge save. In the 7th minute, Garanhão do SUL's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Georges Ravat fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, Le Stade Briochin UC's Batiste Talon got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 15th match minute, Le Stade Briochin UC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thierry Fouassier to maneuver through the defense. Faustin Payan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonçalo Lobo went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Gonçalo Lobo might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Faustin Payan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonçalo Lobo ran back to his position shaking his head. 26 minutes into the match, Le Stade Briochin UC's goal looked a bit too open when Catarino Correia came free, but Faustin Payan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José Lousada charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Lousada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th minute, José Lousada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Cássio Madeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustin Payan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Garanhão do SUL's Joel Maciel got control of the ball when Freddy Blond tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Joel Maciel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Georges Ravat in the 53rd minute of play. Catarino Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Catarino Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Faustin Payan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás Cerqueira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 57 minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Gonçalo Lobo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Faustin Payan. The goal made the score 0-4. Le Stade Briochin UC's Faustin Payan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomás Cerqueira in the 65th minute of play. Catarino Correia kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Joel Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Georges Ravat, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cássio Madeira charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cássio Madeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Georges Ravat in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Joel Maciel saved Garanhão do SUL from getting behind. Joel Maciel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Georges Ravat went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Garanhão do SUL's Joel Maciel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfried Pinson in the 81st minute of play. When Le Stade Briochin UC's Georges Ravat in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The Garanhão do SUL supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Garanhão do SUL would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
