When Diguinho Gaúcho came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the SORRISO E. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Diguinho Gaúcho couldn't finish the play. Eske Aksel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernandinho Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Eske Aksel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diguinho Gaúcho's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 12th minute, Marco Erasto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When SORRISO E. C.'s Diguinho Gaúcho in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye La Zabaleta's goalie prevented a goal. Diguinho Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eske Aksel having to interfere. The La Zabaleta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SORRISO E. C. were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diguinho Gaúcho was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Diguinho Gaúcho in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eske Aksel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute Fernandinho Negri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eske Aksel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diguinho Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th match minute, La Zabaleta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Lastur to maneuver through the defense. Eske Aksel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diguinho Gaúcho in the 74th minute of the match. SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after La Zabaleta's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fernandinho Negri took the corner. A collision led to La Zabaleta getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Marco Erasto hit a great ball. Diguinho Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eske Aksel having to interfere. Andy Claes hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Fernandinho Negri who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Eske Aksel when he managed to save the team from getting behind.
