Caco Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvid Carlsson in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Carlinhos Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Ryszard Iwanowski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Staffan Lind, 2-0. In the 29th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ryszard Iwanowski to maneuver through the defense. Staffan Lind was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ryszard Iwanowski showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 35 minute of play. Caco Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Johannes Torstensson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ryszard Iwanowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Staffan Lind. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryszard Iwanowski ran back to his position shaking his head. Staffan Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ryszard Iwanowski in the 45th minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Oliver Holmstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arvid Carlsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Ryszard Iwanowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gil Cearense scored 5-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Staffan Lind, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Inge Godholm's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inge Godholm helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Inge Godholm hit a great ball. SORRISO E. But to his dismay, Ryszard Iwanowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 74 played minutes Linköpings AIK got a freekick which was hit by Kent Lind. Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ryszard Iwanowski in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Ryszard Iwanowski made a precise shot to the right of Staffan Lind. Linköpings AIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Kent Lind charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kent Lind the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 85 minutes into the game, SORRISO E. C.'s Gil Cearense nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Staffan Lind made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. With a little luck, SORRISO E. C.'s Caco Azevedo got control of the ball when Arvid Carlsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SORRISO E. C. had won after a very even match.
