Yuri Paauwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caco Azevedo having to interfere. In the 31st minute Feyzullay Taşkıner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caco Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ryszard Iwanowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

SORRISO E. C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gil Cearense in the 57th minute. The corner ended in Gil Cearense almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Young Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra did a great save. Caco Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feyzullay Taşkıner in the 61st minute of the match. Ryszard Iwanowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mitchel Dijkstra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
