Staffan Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juliano Armstrong in the 12th minute of the match. Constantin Ionaș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arvid Carlsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Linköpings AIK's Mattias Cassel seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mattias Cassel the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Linköpings AIK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mattias Cassel had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 19 played minutes Linköpings AIK got a freekick which was hit by Mattias Cassel. 20 minutes into the match, Linköpings AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Candido Abeliuk came free, but Staffan Lind reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 played minutes Cobresal got a freekick which was hit by Rainerio Barrientos. Arvid Carlsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Constantin Ionaș read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. With his leg Staffan Lind managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when Cobresal's José Julio Dudagoitia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 27 played minutes Alifonso Apablaza rounded Linköpings AIK's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Staffan Lind was a little too slow when José Julio Dudagoitia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 32nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Iriarte in the 44th minute of play. 46 minutes into the game, José Julio Dudagoitia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Staffan Lind was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Modesto Iriarte made a kick off. Staffan Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Julio Dudagoitia in the 52nd minute of the match. Allan Karlsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantin Ionaș having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Alifonso Apablaza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Staffan Lind was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Linköpings AIK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After 93 minutes of play, Cobresal's Alifonso Apablaza made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Staffan Lind was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Julio Dudagoitia took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Staffan Lind. Staffan Lind dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 10-0. When the referee ended the match the Cobresal players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
