Staffan Lind breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Linköpings AIK's zone, Horia Tătaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Staffan Lind came out of the goal and Horia Tătaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fryderyk Gorzkiewicz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Arvid Carlsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horia Tătaru got free with Staffan Lind in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jim Hellström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arvid Carlsson in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th minute Johannes Torstensson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jim Hellström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Preator Edikt's Horia Tătaru ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Staffan Lind. Staffan Lind yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Linköpings AIK's Staffan Lind proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Linköpings AIK from getting a goal against them. Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Tătaru in the 36th minute of play. Staffan Lind didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Horia Tătaru went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Linköpings AIK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Horia Tătaru scored to the left of an out of position Staffan Lind, making the score, 4-0. Kent Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. After 45 played minutes Preator Edikt got a freekick which was hit by Torbjörn Nilsson. When Mattias Cassel fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Linköpings AIK's protests and gave Mattias Cassel a yellow card for diving instead. Staffan Lind had in the 50thth minute some difficulties stopping Horia Tătaru's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Staffan Lind made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Tătaru in the 56th minute of play. Preator Edikt's Stig-Ove Blomqvist was substituted for Torbjörn Nilsson. The Preator Edikt fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Preator Edikt's Horia Tătaru looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Horia Tătaru scored 7-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Staffan Lind, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kent Lind kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Staffan Lind took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Stor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Linköpings AIK getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Kent Lind hit a great ball. Staffan Lind showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Stor in the 77th minute of the match. After having played for 81 minutes, Michael Stor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Preator Edikt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Stor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Michael Stor left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Preator Edikt fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. In the 98th minute, Michael Stor got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Preator Edikt's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
