Mitchel Dijkstra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horia Tătaru in the 8th minute of play forced Young Benefica's goalkeeper Mitchel Dijkstra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Preator Edikt's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís Gustavo Barbosa in the 10th minute. The corner led Preator Edikt's Luís Gustavo Barbosa to fire away a dangerous shot which Mitchel Dijkstra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Young Benefica's goalkeeper Mitchel Dijkstra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pepe Guardiola charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pepe Guardiola the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mitchel Dijkstra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Tătaru in the 20th minute of play. In the 21st minute of the match Preator Edikt got a corner. Young Benefica's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luís Gustavo Barbosa ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Luís Gustavo Barbosa almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Young Benefica's Mitchel Dijkstra did a great save. Mitchel Dijkstra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horia Tătaru in the 23rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Horia Tătaru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Preator Edikt's supporters rose to their feet, but Horia Tătaru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mitchel Dijkstra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 35 minutes into the match, Young Benefica's goal looked a bit too open when Horia Tătaru came free, but Mitchel Dijkstra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Horia Tătaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mitchel Dijkstra was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Horia Tătaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Young Benefica's goalkeeper Mitchel Dijkstra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 42 minutes Young Benefica's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luís Gustavo Barbosa who took care of the corner kick. Jim Hellström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Feyzullay Taşkıner in the 43rd minute. After 45 played minutes Young Benefica got a freekick which was hit by Feyzullay Taşkıner. The audience was convinced that Horia Tătaru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mitchel Dijkstra was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Walmir Breckenfeld was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Young Benefica's goalkeeper Mitchel Dijkstra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Torbjörn Nilsson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Torbjörn Nilsson got free with Mitchel Dijkstra in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 54 minutes into the match, Preator Edikt's goal looked a bit too open when Walmir Breckenfeld came free, but Jim Hellström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torbjörn Nilssons short, quick shot in the 55thth minute got Mitchel Dijkstra to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Preator Edikt's Stig-Ove Blomqvist was substituted for Torbjörn Nilsson. After 63 minutes, Walmir Breckenfeld made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Preator Edikt's Jim Hellström tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67thth minute of the game Walmir Breckenfeld who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Preator Edikt's Jim Hellström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Preator Edikt's Horia Tătaru in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Young Benefica's goalie prevented a goal. Mitchel Dijkstra made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Horia Tătaru sent off a good shot on target. Preator Edikt's Michael Stor was substituted for Horia Tătaru. The corner led Preator Edikt's Michael Stor to fire away a dangerous shot which Mitchel Dijkstra despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mitchel Dijkstra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Stor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute, Michael Stor ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mitchel Dijkstra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Stig-Ove Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mitchel Dijkstra having to interfere. Jim Hellström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feyzullay Taşkıner went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Mitchel Dijkstra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Stor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 92 minutes, Stig-Ove Blomqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Preator Edikt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Ove Blomqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
