After a defensive mix-up in La Zabaleta's zone, Paolo Caradaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eske Aksel came out of the goal and Paolo Caradaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Berdoi came free, but Eske Aksel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Marcos Berdoi notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of La Zabaleta's Eske Aksel. Eske Aksel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Club Atlético Atlanta's Carlos Germano got control of the ball when Miguel Gilabert tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the La Zabaleta defense, Marcos Berdoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eske Aksel. The La Zabaleta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eske Aksel should have stopped the shot. Carlos Germano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Micah Vesović in the 27th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Remigio Erramu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 39 minutes into the match, Marcos Berdoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eske Aksel. La Zabaleta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Marcos Berdoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 44th minute of the match Arturo Henrico sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Germano skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Gilabert got free with Carlos Germano in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The La Zabaleta players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atlético Atlanta were winning 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcos Berdoi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eske Aksel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcos Berdoi in the 53rd minute. La Zabaleta's Eske Aksel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eustaquio Jaizki in the 54th minute of play. Andy Claes hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eustaquio Jaizki in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eske Aksel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcos Berdoi in the 63rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eske Aksel saved La Zabaleta from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, La Zabaleta's goal looked a bit too open when Rosendo Cutberto came free, but Eske Aksel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 played minutes La Zabaleta got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Baxter. When Miguel Gilabert came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the La Zabaleta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miguel Gilabert couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Andy Claes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 72nd minute Andy Claes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Germano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andy Claes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Carlos Germano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 75 played minutes La Zabaleta got a freekick which was hit by Gaspar Lastur. 81 minutes into the match, Marcos Berdoi dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eske Aksel, 0-4. Eske Aksel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eustaquio Jaizki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eske Aksel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigio Erramu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Marcos Berdoi sped through La Zabaleta's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eske Aksel. After a defensive mix-up in La Zabaleta's zone, Eustaquio Jaizki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eske Aksel came out of the goal and Eustaquio Jaizki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 93rd minute, Club Atlético Atlanta's Eustaquio Jaizki ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eske Aksel. Eske Aksel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6.
