Municipal's Daniel Cordarrol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lázaro Berdoi in the 7th minute of play. 9 minutes into the game, Lázaro Berdoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Daniel Cordarrol was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cleto Lawrence charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleto Lawrence the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Leones Futbol Club booed when C.D. Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleto Lawrence didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the C.D. Municipal defense, Eustacio Amaya kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Daniel Cordarrol. The C.D. Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Cordarrol should have stopped the shot. Mauricio Guillelmus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafin Dominguez, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Municipal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Daniel Cordarrol should have stopped the shot. Eustacio Amaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Daniel Cordarrol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lázaro Berdoi in the 47th minute of play forced C.D. Municipal's goalkeeper Daniel Cordarrol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lázaro Berdoi was the one to do the kick off. Lázaro Berdoi struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Daniel Cordarrol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leones Futbol Club. Daniel Cordarrol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eustacio Amaya in the 53rd minute of the match. Daniel Cordarrol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eustacio Amaya in the 55th minute of play. Eustacio Amaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Eustacio Amaya ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Cordarrol was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Daniel Cordarrol came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Leones Futbol Club's Dennis Andreozzi. But to his dismay, Dennis Andreozzi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-0. Leones Futbol Club made a substitution. Ove Gallberg replaced Eustacio Amaya. Leones Futbol Club made a substitution. Nicolás Tagliafico replaced Kasper Hellström. After having played for 73 minutes, Dennis Andreozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leones Futbol Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Andreozzi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Cordarrol was left in no man's land by his defense there! Daniel Cordarrol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lázaro Berdoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 80thth minute of the game Lázaro Berdoi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C.D. Municipal's Daniel Cordarrol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute, Leonel Liher hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ove Gallberg took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Cordarrol. Daniel Cordarrol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 12-0. After having played for 89 minutes, Dennis Andreozzi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
