CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's King Duarte proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Habib Ali Picavea notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land's King Duarte. King Duarte was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land booed when Morro Grande E.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Mateus Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Teófilo Pádua came free, but Gláuber Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Morro Grande E.C booed when CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 46th match minute, CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Carrasqueira to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Don Duarte was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Toninho Caca-Rato got a free kick in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Morro Grande E.C's zone, Alcides Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gláuber Brodel came out of the goal and Alcides Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Miguéis in the 56th minute of play forced Morro Grande E.C's goalkeeper Gláuber Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gláuber Brodel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Miguéis in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Don Duarte got free with Gláuber Brodel in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th minute, Alcides Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 67th minute Alfredinho Vieira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but King Duarte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Morro Grande E.C's Gláuber Brodel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Morro Grande E.C from getting a goal against them. In the 70th minute Don Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gláuber Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Christiano Trevisan came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Morro Grande E.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiano Trevisan couldn't finish the play. 74 minutes into the match, Morro Grande E.C's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Campos came free, but Gláuber Brodel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Morro Grande E.C's Toninho Soeiro got a free kick in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Habib Ali Picavea in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg King Duarte saved CASTROMIL FC -Golden Land from getting behind. Toninho Soeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toninho Soeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Alexandre Veríssimo hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match.
Morro Grande E.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
