In the 16th minute Gerardo Lordi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eulalio Francesco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eulalio Francesco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witomir Pisarczyk in the 17th minute of the match. After 19 minutes River tu grato nombre's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eduardo De Francesco who took care of the corner kick. Santa Margarita's Eduardo De Francesco was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eulalio Francesco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eulalio Francesco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andréas Hasselqvist in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Witomir Pisarczyk in the 31st minute of play forced River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Eulalio Francesco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner led Santa Margarita's Andréas Hasselqvist to fire away a dangerous shot which Eulalio Francesco despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Santa Margarita fans' excitement grew in the 33rd match minute when Santa Margarita's Witomir Pisarczyk looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Andreas Landgren's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eulalio Francesco was relentless in the 39th minute of the game.
