Emilio Admon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabio Schneider in the 8th minute of play. When Fabio Schneider came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Austria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabio Schneider couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Atlético Villa Gesell booed when Austria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonas Nalder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sandro Galishoff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Admon having to interfere. The supporters of Austria booed when Atlético Villa Gesell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jesus Oidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 25 minutes, Leandro Gotzon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Villa Gesell's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leandro Gotzon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabio Auer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elvio Cutberto, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute, Fabio Schneider ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emilio Admon was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elvio Cutberto during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Austria booed when Atlético Villa Gesell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Cutberto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Wallner lost his temper 41 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Austria! The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Nalder to strike the kick off in the second half. A throw-in in the 51st minute of the game was made by Leonel Sanchez with Leandro Gotzon as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Emilio Admon was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Fabio Schneider capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fabio Schneider really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. In the 58th minute, Fabio Schneider got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Fabio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Marvin Harrer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Austria's supporters rose to their feet, but Marvin Harrer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emilio Admon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Natalio Leheren kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Fabio Schneider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the game, Fabio Schneider was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Austria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Villa Gesell the free kick. After a rather tough play, Austria's Fabio Schneider got a free kick in the 88th minute. After 91 minutes of play, Atlético Villa Gesell's Elvio Cutberto made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fabio Auer was left in no man's land by his defense there! Leonel Sanchez charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonel Sanchez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Villa Gesell's Leonel Sanchez got a free kick in the 96th minute. Marvin Harrer hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
