Esporte Clube Zeus's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Daniel Schmidt scored to the left of an out of position Romeu Batista, making the score, 2-0. In the 28th minute, Daniel Schmidt reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Romeu Batista. The goal made the score 3-0. Goiás Esporte Clube's attentive Amílton do Nascimento managed to snatch the ball when Leonel Souza made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. After 32nd play minutes Daniel Schmidt shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Romeu Batista and just under the crossbar into goal. 5-0 became the score in the 38th minute when Daniel Schmidt elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Romeu Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amílton do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the match, Daniel Schmidt notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Esporte Clube Zeus's Romeu Batista. Romeu Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 63 minutes of play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Osmar de Moraes made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romeu Batista was left in no man's land by his defense there! 66 minutes into the match, Esporte Clube Zeus's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton do Nascimento came free, but Romeu Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Schmidt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Batista having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Christiano Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romeu Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Schmidt, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Romeu Batista came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Goiás Esporte Clube's Michel Mertesacker. But to his dismay, Michel Mertesacker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. After 86 minutes, Daniel Schmidt made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Esporte Clube Zeus's Romeu Batista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 89th minute, Daniel Schmidt made a precise shot to the right of Romeu Batista. Esporte Clube Zeus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. After 94 minutes, Osmar de Moraes made it 12-0 with a short kick to the right side. Esporte Clube Zeus's Romeu Batista tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Goiás Esporte Clube fully deserved thier win.
