In the 6th minute Goiás Esporte Clube were awarded a corner. Valdir Neves went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Goiás Esporte Clube's Valdir Neves to fire away a dangerous shot which Edwin Galle despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hedemora's Edwin Galle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osmar de Moraes in the 12th minute of play. A collision led to Goiás Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Amílton do Nascimento hit a great ball. Daniel Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense got control of the ball when Christoffer Holm tried to sneak it across the goal line. Edwin Galle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Schmidt's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The supporters of Hedemora booed when Goiás Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Figueiredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Amílton do Nascimento came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Goiás Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amílton do Nascimento couldn't finish the play. After 40 minutes of play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Daniel Schmidt made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edwin Galle was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Goiás Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Osmar de Moraes hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Daniel Schmidt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Schmidt to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Daniel Schmidt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edwin Galle. Daniel Schmidt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Daniel Schmidt had several of the Hedemora's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-4 score and a disappointed Edwin Galle as he didn't even see the shot coming. Daniel Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Osmar de Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin Galle having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Goiás Esporte Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hedemora.
