Dušan Ančic was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Percival in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio Corinth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. William Dunning made in the 17th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Sebastian Percival however managed to control. Devon Howson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cássio Corinth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Cássio Corinth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Spike Foley in the 20th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Montenegro in the 23rd minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Devon Howson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Cássio Corinth made a huge save. In the 31st match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Dunning to maneuver through the defense. Cássio Corinth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Percival in the 37th minute of play. The supporters of Club Atlético de Newell booed when C.A Gryffindor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denílson Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sebastian Percival made a kick off. Cássio Corinth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Spike Foley in the 52nd minute of play. Cássio Corinth showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Percival in the 56th minute of the match. Pastor Eufemio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cássio Corinth read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Brian Montenegro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Dušan Ančic made a huge save. After 63 played minutes C.A Gryffindor got a freekick which was hit by Bill Bill. Brian Montenegro in the 65thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dušan Ančic, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 73 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's goal looked a bit too open when Devon Howson came free, but Cássio Corinth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute Sebastian Percival shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Corinth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Club Atlético de Newell players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
