The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bernd Yuschni showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 16th minute, Brian Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A Gryffindor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 20th minute Lars Voss shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Corinth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Bill Bill fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Gryffindor's protests and gave Bill Bill a yellow card for diving instead. Jörn Hartwig made in the 23rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by C.A Gryffindor's Sarracino Marsano. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emilio Argina was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Willi Tilmann's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cássio Corinth was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, Qiao Xing Qi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A Gryffindor's Marcelinho Leme was substituted for Bill Bill. In the 74th minute of the game Jörn Hartwig made a throw-in which Douglas Lundin played forward. In the 76th match minute, C.A Gryffindor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomé de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Cássio Corinth was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Argina came free, but Cássio Corinth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Hannover Reds were the better team. Hannover Reds's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
