Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sebastian Percival took the kick off in the first half of the match. 2 minutes into the match, Hannover Reds's Willi Tilmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dušan Ančic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 7th minute, Club Atlético de Newell's Devon Howson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernd Yuschni. Bernd Yuschni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Argina in the 10th minute of play forced Club Atlético de Newell's goalkeeper Dušan Ančic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Argina came free, but Dušan Ančic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A well-hit corner resulted in Emilio Argina heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 15th minute, Sebastian Percival got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Club Atlético de Newell booed when Hannover Reds was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Douglas Lundin didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Eufemio in the 17th minute of play forced Hannover Reds's goalkeeper Bernd Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes, Emilio Argina made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético de Newell's Dušan Ančic tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bernd Yuschni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Percival, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute Club Atlético de Newell were awarded a corner. Pastor Eufemio went to the cornerflag to take it. Bernd Yuschni made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Sebastian Percival sent off a good shot on target. Hannover Reds's Lars Voss got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 35 minutes into the game, Spike Foley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bernd Yuschni was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 38th minute, Spike Foley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernd Yuschni was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Devon Howson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlético de Newell's supporters rose to their feet, but Devon Howson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernd Yuschni breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Club Atlético de Newell's Spike Foley ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bernd Yuschni. Bernd Yuschni yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emilio Argina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arbi Newell to maneuver through the defense. A well-hit corner resulted in Lars Voss heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Devon Howson put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bernd Yuschni. 69 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goal looked a bit too open when Emilio Argina came free, but Dušan Ančic reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Atlético de Newell getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Cliff Kershaw hit a great ball. Club Atlético de Newell's Amanda Hoffs was substituted for William Dunning. In the 72nd minute, Cliff Kershaw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice moves Willi Tilmann could shoot a difficult shot in the 73rd minute, which Dušan Ančic however easily saved by the left post. Bernd Yuschni stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sebastian Percival's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. In the 83rd match minute, Club Atlético de Newell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pastor Eufemio to maneuver through the defense. In the 85th minute, Wilton Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Hannover Reds's goal looked a bit too open when Devon Howson came free, but Bernd Yuschni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Atlético de Newell's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
