Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SJÖARED's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Springfält came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, SJÖARED's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Adrian Springfält reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adrian Springfält took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by SJÖARED's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. In the 15th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adrian Springfält skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunnar Hellström in the 18th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adrian Springfält made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 23rd minute of play. In the 29th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Springfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Springfält having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by SJÖARED's Helge Gustafsson. But to his dismay, Helge Gustafsson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After 42 played minutes SJÖARED got a freekick which was hit by Kenneth Kihlman. In the 45th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Springfält saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Oskar Lundberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 47 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vidar Lang was the one to do the kick off. After 73 played minutes SJÖARED got a freekick which was hit by Isak Qvarnström. After a rather tough play, SJÖARED's Kenneth Kihlman got a free kick in the 74th minute. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by SJÖARED's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. David Eikelkamp was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 87th minute of play forced SJÖARED's goalkeeper Adrian Springfält to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Springfält. Adrian Springfält dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 96th match minute, SJÖARED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isak Qvarnström to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Netherlands players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
