In the 3rd minute Serginho Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Michel Salgado kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. A collision led to Zandarin FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Claudinho Quirino hit a great ball. After 11 played minutes Zandarin FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Quirino. In the 15th minute, Serginho Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th minute, Jano Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Zandarin FC's Serafim Loyola got a free kick in the 35th minute. Serafim Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernani Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beto de Sousa having to interfere. Jânio Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Zandarin FC's Jânio Ramos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho Nóbrega in the 52nd minute of play. Vila Nova FC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Zandarin FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Víktor Sanches took the corner. Víktor Sanches made a great header on Vila Nova FC's corner, it was just that Zandarin FC's Jânio Ramos managed to reach the ball for a save. After 62 played minutes Zandarin FC got a freekick which was hit by Michel Salgado. If Víktor Sanches had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serginho Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 75th minute Serginho Nóbrega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Jânio Ramos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cido Gerber. Jânio Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wanderson Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. Ernani Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 91 minutes, Víktor Sanches mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vila Nova FC and the Zandarin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The goalkeeper, Jânio Ramos, was totally fooled by Vila Nova FC's Víktor Sanches, who 95 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jânio Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serginho Nóbrega in the 99th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Vila Nova FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zandarin FC.
