Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Hélder Trigo kicked off to start the match. Joaquim Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 10 minutes, Dinei Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vascogoianiense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dinei Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 12th play minutes Joaquim Queirós shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Zé Augusto Peixoto and just under the crossbar into goal. Vascogoianiense FC's Zé Augusto Peixoto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Queirós in the 16th minute of play. Zé Augusto Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vítor Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Augusto Peixoto having to make a save. In the 31st minute, Jairo Madureira made a precise shot to the right of Zé Augusto Peixoto. Vascogoianiense FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 38th minute, Júlio Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Madureira in the 42nd minute of play forced Vascogoianiense FC's goalkeeper Zé Augusto Peixoto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Joaquim Queirós left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SORRISO E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Branco in the 47th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, SORRISO E. C.'s Joaquim Queirós nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Queirós made a kick off. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Válter Martins got a free kick in the 54th minute. Reinaldo Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 57thth minute of the game Artur Branco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vascogoianiense FC's Zé Augusto Peixoto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Queirós got free with Zé Augusto Peixoto in the 60th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Faria in the 65th minute of play. Joaquim Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Zé Augusto Peixoto made a huge save. Zé Augusto Peixoto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Queirós, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute Artur Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Jairo Madureira hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Hélder Trigo might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edvaldo Leal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hélder Trigo ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when Vascogoianiense FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hélder Trigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Faria came free, but Zé Augusto Peixoto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Queirós got free with Zé Augusto Peixoto in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 86th minute Júlio Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Augusto Peixoto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Augusto Peixoto made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Joaquim Queirós sent off a good shot on target. Zé Augusto Peixoto was a little too slow when Joaquim Queirós got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 98th minute. The score was now 0-6. The Vascogoianiense FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SORRISO E. C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
