When the match had been going on for 3 minutes, AF CERRADO's Artur Sergipano got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sílvio Zonta. After a rather tough play, AF CERRADO's Bruno Dionísio got a free kick in the 12th minute. Bruninho Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Arí Motta was shown his second yellow card after 43 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruninho Silva in the 48th minute of play forced AF CERRADO's goalkeeper Gil Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Artur Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of AF CERRADO booed when TAQUARI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Munhoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute of the match Artur Sergipano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sílvio Zonta skillfully saved the ball.
