Chico Ramos hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Miguel Baptista was a little too slow when Augusto Ramos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Bruninho Silva's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Miguel Baptista firmly grabbed it by the left post. Miguel Baptista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruninho Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eugênio Tasso in the 14th minute of play forced TAQUARI FC's goalkeeper Sílvio Zonta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Sandrinho Neves had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sílvio Zonta. TAQUARI FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandrinho Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 21st minute, Maicon Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Sandrinho Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Zonta was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 25th minute Bruninho Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Karaboudjan's goalkeeper Miguel Baptista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruninho Silva. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Queiroz in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Baptista saved Karaboudjan from getting behind. 30 minutes into the match, Augusto Ramos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Miguel Baptista, 2-1. In the 36th match minute, TAQUARI FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruninho Silva to maneuver through the defense. Amauri Massa charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amauri Massa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Karaboudjan got a freekick which was hit by Amauri Massa. Miguel Baptista stood somewhat misplaced when Bruninho Silva came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 46 minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandrinho Neves stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Karaboudjan's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Ramos came free, but Miguel Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of TAQUARI FC booed when Karaboudjan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruninho Silva in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Miguel Baptista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Bruninho Silva made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Baptista. Karaboudjan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Eugênio Tasso took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sílvio Zonta. Sílvio Zonta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. The supporters of Karaboudjan booed when TAQUARI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruninho Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Augusto Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Baptista. Karaboudjan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Augusto Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. After a rather tough play, Karaboudjan's Eugênio Tasso got a free kick in the 86th minute. Sílvio Zonta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. TAQUARI FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Karaboudjan for a fine match.
