Pedrinho Severo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Netto in the 7th minute of play forced Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Severo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michel Urbano kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Leo Jardim stood somewhat misplaced when Richard Fantini came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 14 minute. Zandarin FC's Aílton Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leo Jardim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aílton Amorim in the 28th minute. Felippe Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pedrinho Severo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vítor Netto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Atlético Cristo Rei's Leo Jardim got control of the ball when Aílton Amorim tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Cristo Rei's zone, Aílton Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leo Jardim came out of the goal and Aílton Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Felippe Sena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Felippe Sena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedrinho Severo. Zandarin FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Felippe Sena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Felippe Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Severo having to interfere. Vítor Netto came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Pedrinho Severo could save by the left post. Vítor Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, Zandarin FC's goalkeeper Pedrinho Severo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vítor Netto. Zandarin FC's Aílton Amorim got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Atlético Cristo Rei's Leo Jardim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aílton Amorim in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Vítor Netto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aílton Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leo Jardim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aílton Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 93rd minute, Richard Fantini ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leo Jardim was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of Atlético Cristo Rei booed when Zandarin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Fantini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atlético Cristo Rei's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Zandarin FC had won, even though Atlético Cristo Rei had held more of the ball.
