The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Madureira got free with Evaristo Arósio in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 5 minutes, Cristian Carvalho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MARINUS MZC and the SORRISO E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, MARINUS MZC's Cristian Carvalho got a free kick in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the game, Joaquim Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Evaristo Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valdo Guimarães charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valdo Guimarães the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes MARINUS MZC got a freekick which was hit by Valdo Guimarães. Evaristo Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Queirós in the 12th minute of the match. A throw-in in the 20th minute of the game was made by Artur Branco with Júlio Faria as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 21 minutes into the game, Joaquim Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Evaristo Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, SORRISO E. Evaristo Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reginaldo de Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute SORRISO E. C. were awarded a corner. Vítor Sousa went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 35th minute, SORRISO E. C.'s Artur Branco ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Evaristo Arósio. Evaristo Arósio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Evaristo Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Branco in the 40th minute of the match. MARINUS MZC's attentive Daniel Munhoz managed to snatch the ball when Reginaldo de Brito made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. 45 minutes into the game, Júlio Faria cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Evaristo Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdo Guimarães to make the kick off. Júlio Faria scored 6-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Evaristo Arósio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jefferson Albuquerque had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd match minute, MARINUS MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Falcão Falcão to maneuver through the defense. Evaristo Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute, Artur Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Evaristo Arósio was frozen by the shot and now it was 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Queirós in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Evaristo Arósio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 81st minute Júlio Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Joaquim Queirós cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Evaristo Arósio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Júlio Faria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Evaristo Arósio was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. In the 89th minute Júlio Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Arósio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 11-0. There was no doubt that SORRISO E. C. were the better team. SORRISO E. C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
